Laing House engages my passion for community-driven programming and providing day-to-day support to those experiencing mental health barriers.
My background is in programming development and facilitation with youth-serving organizations youth. I recently completed my Bachelor of Social Work at Dalhousie University. My education and experience has fused together, allowing me to work from a person-centered, anti-oppressive, and critical approach. I bring this lens into my work as a Community Support Worker focusing on Community Development. My current portfolio includes outreach in Sackville, as someone who was born and raised in the community, I am thrilled to be in a position to offer support and services to individuals in Sackville.
When I’m not working on outreach or facilitating programming for Laing House, I can be found volunteering with queer-focused youth events and organizations. My other interests include enjoying weekend brunch with my partner and keeping up with all things in popular culture! Please feel free to say hi if you see me around in the community.
